Do I need any prior experience or a certain fitness level to start?
Not at all! Our classes are designed for all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced students. Our certified instructors will guide you with exercise modifications and progressions, ensuring you advance at your own pace and safely. The most important thing is your willingness to start.
What should I wear or bring to my first class?
Just wear comfortable clothes that allow for easy movement (like leggings and a fitted top) and bring a water bottle. We practice barefoot or with grip socks. We provide all the necessary equipment (mats, rings, bands, balls, etc.), so you just need to bring yourself!
Can Pilates help with back pain?
Yes, this is one of its most well-known benefits. Pilates focuses on strengthening your deep core and back muscles, improving posture, and increasing flexibility. Many of our clients report a significant reduction in back pain after a few weeks of consistent practice. (Note: If you have a specific medical condition, please consult your doctor first.)
What is the difference between Pilates and Yoga?
While both disciplines promote a mind-body connection, Pilates focuses more on building strength, stability, and muscular endurance through controlled, precise movements, often using specialized equipment. Yoga typically places a greater emphasis on static stretching, holding poses, and spiritual elements. They are wonderfully complementary practices.
